Dear PM Jackstar,
I suffer from a similar effect.
I have seen it ruin job interviews..
But, I do have news for you.
You possibly could control the symptoms.. Have you gone to a doctor? even if you don't have health insurance, a lot of hospitals will still see you if you sign up for their "financial assistance programs" and such. Please go try to see a doctor and he/she will more acurately be able to help you..
But I can tell you a few things.
The rotten egg smell is due to sulfur compounds as an end product of digestion. It just sounds like you're not able to digest sulfur containing food that well..
Search for high-sulfur foods and AVOID those, and keep to the ones with low sulfur..
This is a bit hard. The reason being that, sulfur is an esential part of life compounds.
There are these things called amino acids that make up the proteins which make up pretty much everything in your body.
There are a few amino acids that contain sulfur: methionine and cysteine.
You need these to function and live..
I suggest you ask a doctor to find out what kind of sulfur compounds you actually can digest, and which ones you can't.
In the meanwhile, I suggest you stay away from the high-sulfur foods like: eggs, garlic, asparagus.. search them.
You can also try and see if there are probiotics that can help you with digestion.
Whatever it is, You NEED to believe in your future. You have a life, that is a gift, this problem that you're having is a CHALLENGE. Everyone has a cross, this one is yours, so get up and go fight it, get doctor's help, if you don' thave insurance, get onto medicaid or w.e. availble, but go get help, go study, and make your life, don't let everything that life throws at you get in the way of your dreams. Their dreams beecause you have to fight for them.
As for how I relate to you. Well, I have a lot of digestive issues that came out of nowhere as well.
I am lactose and fructose intolerant and milk protein allergic. I can't absorbe either of these sugars, and its so bad, that I can't handle fructans (fructose polymers) either, this translates to no: dairy at all! no yogurt, no lactose free-milk, nothing with dairy, no fruits (although slowly I'm adding back the low-fructose fruits), no wheat, or inulin, or fructose containing stufff.
Basically for a while, I fasted and was just on water, then I added chicken, and then chicken and lettuce, but the lettuce caused gas.. The doctor said to take metamucil so that I can pass stool and not be constipated, but that caused gas too (when you're gassy its ESPECIALLY important to not eat sulfur foods). I really miss EGGS!! I love scrambled eggs, but I basically haven't had them fro a year since this condition started, because I did produce a strong sulfur smell after I ate them. I avoid onion and garlifc for similar reason..
So maybe that may help you. I did produce gas for 2-3 weeks while on metamucil, but you need fiber, so once your body gets used to taking the fiber, then it doesn't produce as much gas.. and then I was able to add cucumber, which produced minimal gas, and
Celery too.
Basically the diet is really hard, but I'm a student and i have dreams, so i just have to be disciplined to stick with my diet so that I can do more important things and achieve my goals.
i pray that you may be able to do that too.
I can't eat any dairy or
