Malodorsyndrome
For those of you who believe in God, Jesus said in the book of John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Notice what Jesus says here "In this world you will have trouble." He also goes on to say "But take heart! I have overcome the world."
There is no one in this world that is exactly like you. No one! Nor will there ever be! You are unique, problems and all! God being the Creator of the universe, saw our problems coming way before we ever came into existance! Before medical conditions were discovered and named after doctors and scientists who discovered them, God already knew all about it!
So if God knew and knows about life's problems, why doesn't He do something about it you say? I ask that question all the time. Maybe, just maybe, it isn't up to God to "fix" life's problems. When Jesus healed and fed people, turned water into wine, walked on the sea, raised people from the dead, people were naturally drawn to His miracles. Question? But were they really drawn to Him, or His miracles? His ability to "fix" life's problmes?
When I've asked God time and time again to take away my condition, I sometimes wondered if I just wanted the "miracle" part and none of the "Jesus" part. I won't pretend that our condition isn't a road block to a lot of missed opportunities. It is. We've all suffered loss. Life isn't perfect. It just isn't.
There's always hardships. That isn't to say that life is all bad, but as Jesus said "In this life you shall have trouble." In summation, I think it's how we face life's problems and hardships through Jesus, that makes the difference. After all He did say "In me you may have peace, take heart, for I have overcome the world!"
