When you pour the grains and curds into a plastic sieve use a wooden or plastic spoon to gently work the curds and grains back and forth across the mesh surface. Slowly the curds will break down and the grains will remain. Gently rinse the grains in a little warm water at the end. Add the grains to your next ferment.
