So in other words, ALL fruit? lol
I know I want to trick myself into thinking I'm fine with fruit, in fact I do feel better after I eat a green apple. Maybe though, it's because I finally feel a little free and like I actually have a choice of what I eat. And the fact that green apples do contain sugar... and make my mouth water. I have been on a strict Candida diet and it sucks, for lack of a better word.
But I have a severe case of Candida therefore I need to avoid ALL fruit. Fruit has
Sugar and
Sugar feeds Candida - PERIOD. Even a tiny bit of
Sugar does. Candida is microscopic, therefore even that tiny grain of sugar you can see? It can feed the Candida.
If you do decide to eat fruit, stick to the low sugar fruits like lemons, grapefruit, green apples. Maybe some berries. Preferably organic. And eat them on an empty stomach by themself, preferably in the mornings. Wait at least 20 minutes before eating anything else - that's how long (or short) it takes to digest fruit. That's another reason why you should eat it on an empty stomach by itself, because when you eat other things it slows transit time, which gives it more of a chance to ferment and feed the Candida.
Fruit is good for you because of the high nutrition it gives along with the natural water content. But it is not good for those with Candida. The bad far outweighs the good.
