So do you believe milk should not be consumed for health reasons?
At least limited intake.
And what is your assessment on the paleo template and the writings of Loren Cordain?
I have never heard of Loren Cordain. I have seen various things on the paleo diet though, but it never seems consistent. Seems like different people have different ideas on what the paleo diet consists of.
As always thank you for your time.
Your welcome.
So you are saying your experience is consuming raw dairy products?
Yes, we had our milk raw all the time. But that was not the point. The point is that milk has hormones regardless if the milk is raw or pasteurized.
Sorry, I'm a bit confused. You posted a study on the supposed harmful effects of dairy, yet you have personal experience with raw dairy, so I guess your experience is a bad one??
Not at all. Your reasoning is like someone who used to smoke but never got cancer claiming that cigarette smoking therefore must be safe.
Again, all milk contains hormones and those hormones can increase the risk of cancer or proliferate the growth of existing cancers. People need to be aware of this fact.
I see from your other post that you think this is some type of conspiracy to promote soy sales, but it is not.
Although soy does protect people from various cancers primarily due to soy's phytoestrogens that antagonize estrogens and xenoestrogens.
I'm not getting at all why you demand proof that raw dairy is not the same product as factory farmed processed dairy.
That is not what I was asking for proof about. Here is your quote and my response again:
The stuff in groceries (even the organic) is grey and tastes terrible in comparison. Not only that it causes allergies in gluten intolerant folks because the cows are grain/soy/other stuff? fed.
Any proof to back this claim? From credible sources, not sales sites or opinion sites. Just any proof that the gluten protein makes it in to the milk.
They are discussing the effect so protein intake on modifying the toxic effect so aflatoxin on the liver. I have mentioned aflatoxins before. Aflatoxins are damaging to the liver and are known for causing liver cancer in immune suppressed people.
They found that in the rat studies that when the rats were high doses of casein (milk protein) during the dosing of aflatoxin that they did not develop much in the way of liver damage. When the high doses of casein were given after the rats were given the aflatoxin there was a 6 fold increase in the damage to the liver.
Wow I'm overwhelmed with all your rebuttals. :-)
Not enough time in my day to try to argue common sense it seems.
Problem is that what people often think is common sense is not always fact. Look at how many people think that high cholesterol causes heart disease is common sense. Yet the claim is a complete myth.
I hope your health is as great as mine,
Actually I am in excellent health. I outgrew my couple of allergies when I was 5 and have not had any chronic diseases or disorders since.
and you can start guiding people as to what is actually GOOD for them to eat,
There is more to staying healthy than just diet. Stress for example is a much greater contributor to disease than diet.
and not just how processed animal foods gives us (insert disease here).
This is a great example of one of those people think it is common sense but it is a myth things. Diseases have many causes. In fact, raw foods can cause or contribute to some of them. For example, raw milk can have dangerous pathogens. Raw cruciferous vegetables can suppress the thyroid leading to various health issues. Raw vs processed is not a clear cut issue.
For example, you write "insert disease here". So you think that a person with cystic fibrosis developed their disease from processed food? And they are going to cure it by raw foods? Again, there can be a big difference between what people think is common sense and actual fact.
