Hello,
I think that you must be a brave person, very dedicated to your healing, to put
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract up your nasal cavity. Wowsers! Kudos.
However, I would venture to agree with your assertion that the
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract is contributing to the blood and mucus discharge.
Our sinuses are meant to self regulate through the functioning of our efficient, but sensitive, mucous membranes. It is usually when the mucous membrane, the lining of your sinuses, is damaged or irritated that we get sinus congestion.
So, the
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract most likely is adding to the irritation, inflammation, and damaged tissues (since there is some blood).
It is common to have extra mucous discharging from the body during candida cleansing. So maybe try less extreme methods. I personally really like essential oil direct palm inhalation. In this, you place 1-2 drops of essential oil (I would suggest eucalyptus or pine for this) on the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, cup them over your nose and mouth, then inhale deeply through your nose for 5-20 breaths. If that doesn't cut it, then try a steam facial. Place boiled water in a bowl on the table, put 1-2 drops of essential oil in the bowl, then quickly cover your head with a towel and place over the bowl to capture the essential oils and steam. Breath deeply. Make sure you get enough rest so that your body can return to balance faster.
Essential oils are anti microbial, anti viral, anti bacterial, anti fungal, etc. No matter what this problem is caused by, Essential oils will help. (Unless there is a congenital defect with your sinus cavities- you would have had sinus infections your hole life if this was the case).
If all else fails, consult an Ayurvedic specialist and ask them if they know the treatment of dropping fresh ginger juice up your nose. Whoa! That'll do it.
