Yesss, I passed out once and that was when I realized that something wasn't right. Previous to this episode I had many other symptoms but I never thought of linking mirena to health issues. after no help from many Drs I started searching and found this forum. I'm over 2 1/2 post removal and still dealing with many symptoms but I feel better now than I did when I had mirena. Just a extra note before passing out that one time, I had felt like passing out many many times but I didnt, after removal that symptoms has gotten much better. I'm so sorry for your cousin tell her to have it remove it before it gets worst. Why would insurance not cover for removal? Just tell her to say that she wants to try for another baby and they will remove it.

I haven't passed out myself (felt like things were starting to go dark many times but never did pass out). But I've been around this site for awhile -- I'll be 4 years post-removal tomorrow in fact -- and I remember someone posting that they passed out while driving. I can't remember who though. Also several ladies have had seizures with Mirena that 'mysteriously' went away after removal. Please post back if they ever come up with a diagnosis for your cousin, and let us know how she improves after removal. Ditching Mirena is the best thing she could do for her health.

hello there, sorry to here about what your going thru cause of the mirena. I too had the same exact issues from this damn birth control. I has 3 or 4 seizures b4 i took mine out, i got mines in 07...just took it out in march 11. Doc's didnt and still dont want to believe it is the mirena, iv never had seizures or have been close to epileptic before in my life. how im gonna prove it was this birth contol i dont know but i am! hope you get better :)

hello there, i really really would like for you to get back to me regarding our situation with the mirena. This IUD had really messed me UP. I have seizures now that I never had before :( I cant do anything I use to do before... i.e. drive, work, live my life! I want something done about it. I have great research but need others to fight with me. HELP ME...please get back to me!!! PLEASE!!!! :)
