Thank you Chris. This is an important message and reminder that healing crises are real and that we need to endure through them when fasting to bring our healing to realization. Too many will experience such symptoms and falsely believe it's because they have gone into nutrient deficiency and hurriedly break the fast, a misconception widely perpetuated in a society that has absolutely no idea what's really going on, including those who are in the medical establishment.
The lie that there is no such thing as detox seems to be mainstreams way of propagandizing people, making them believe that they need to rely on so called modern medicine (pharmacea/witch doctory) to maintain their good health, a filthy lie from the enemies of truth.
Another type of misconception is as follows. I had a girlfriend who went on a 10 day juice fast, her first fast of any kind all her life which i had encouraged her towards... and she did an amazing job with it. By the end of this fast, she was feeling better than she had in many years. By juicing instead of having only water, it was a gradual enough cleansing to produce no healing crisis.
When she broke the fast she was unwaveringly convinced that she desperately needed protein so she had a normal sized (for a person who hadn't been fasting) helping of chicken on day one against all of my literature and experience backed warnings... and immediately began to feel terrible.
What did she blame for this, the chicken long before her body was ready to digest it? No! She concluded that the juice fast which through her own words had made her feel better than she had felt in many years (until eating the chicken) messed up her body!
We are no longer together.
Hi there,
I think the best choice vegetables for a juice fast (or feast) is to use a wide variety of juices to ensure you're getting a broad spectrum of nutrients.
Carrots, Cucumbers, Lettuces, Cabbage, Bell Peppers, & Celery all juice very well.
This article details some of the benefits of different vegetable juices.

You can experiment with different blends, I like Carrot by itself, or with celery or lettuces. And lettuces, caggage, cucumber, are good mixed together and the bell peppers add a lot flavor to those green mixtures.
And remember to break your juice fast sensibly, just as you would a water fast... Obviously a generous serving of chicken isn't ideal.
I hope you don't mind a question about non-waterfasting? If I am breaking the rules, please let me know. :)
Hi teenee,
I don't mind at all, but if we both get banned it was nice knowing you ;).
What type of juice fast would you recommend? Does it depend on what type of conditions you are targeting? For instance, I have adrenal and digestive issues (possibly anemia - ridges in fingernails). Are there any particular vegetables or blends that may be good for someone who isn't quite up to the water fasting for long periods?
I haven't studied this in a while (i haven't done a substantial juice feast of my own in maybe 15 years) and while i do agree with Edberg that variety is great in most situations, i would also recommend that you do some research as to which juices are considered to be the most beneficial for the specific issues you are concerned with so that you can be sure to include them.
Of course i highly recommend juicing your own (pestacide free) produce, drinking soon after juicing before the live enzymes begin to oxidize (and die off) which is said to be within 5 minutes unless you are able to tightly kerr jar it to keep it from oxygen. It is also ideal to use organics as much as realistically possible.
Best wishes with this. Do you intend to do any water only fasting as well?
