I've been struggling with this horrible condition for about the past year.  The worst part of it is on my scalp, I do have some flaking on my nose and in my eyebrows on a daily basis, but it is much easier to treat.  Last year I developed cystic acne on my face, back and in my scalp.  At the same time my scalp got very oily and would burn.  A doctor put me on Accutane, I was desperate.   I told her about my scalp, she didn't even look at it, diagnosed it as Seb. Derm and gave me Stieprox shampoo to use.  My acne healed and my scalp oiliness went away.  I went off accutane a month early (4 months total) because it scares me.  Shortly after my scalp became flaky.  Nothing I use is really clearing it up.  It slows it down just alittle bit.  All of the dandruff remedies are destroying my hair, it is so dry and brittle, not to mention it ruins your hair color.  It is very fine to begin with.  I am gluten intolerrant and have been on a gluten free diet for about a year as well.  I don't know what I am missing.  If anyone can help me I would love to hear what has worked for you.
