Another fine day of fast preparation. This certainly helps focus the mind and control the cravings. In previous months, I've oftened said that if I could go a week without eating something unhealthy, I'd start a fast but could never seem to make it to the end of the week. Having officially started preparation has changed my mindset and helped me claim the control that was always mine anyway.
Something that I read just yesterday in an old posting by hopinso (
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=696952#i) coincidentally mirrors this outlook. Ron Lagerquist in his article entitled "Fasting For Weight Loss" (
http://www.freedomyou.com/fasting_book/Fasting_For_Weight_Loss.htm) says:
'I hesitate calling a raw diet “fasting,” some people have made raw their lifetime diet. But there are real benefits to approaching a raw diet with a fasting mentality. Fasting demands a disciplined focus and determination. Once off the fast, we naturally loosen up focus. A raw food fast is just as demanding as juice fasting. I personally find a raw diet more challenging than juice fasting.'
I've used the same focussing strategy which I could refer to as a "Raw Food Fast" in preparation for my
Water Fast to be followed by a "Raw Food Fast" refeeding.
