I finally have a window of opportunity and I'm well overdue for a fast so today I'm counting as my first day of preparation. I had plenty of fruit between midday and evening and a salad with nuts for the evening meal, no cooked food whatsoever. Over the next few days, I won't have any more nuts but I'll use up the 2 avocados I have left. Then I'll reduce overall quantity on days -2 and -1 to start the
Water Fast proper on Friday.
I expect to fast for only 10 days but will listen to my body and see where it takes me.
My reasons for fasting are:
- reduce my toxin levels after numerous indiscretions over the last year.
- help refocus my sweet tooth towards healthy fruits and away from unhealthy snacks.
- become more intune with my mind and body by practicing mindful body awareness. To develop my self knowledge - getting in touch with my true needs and appetites.
- get a really good physiological rest.
I'll try to post my progress daily as energy and time permit.
