Hi Uny, a family member has ringworm on her chest. Upper left, below collarbone, over "the heart". (as she put it. That's a feeling, more than an actuality.) It started out as a small scaly patch that itched I guess, and now it's about an
inch and a half, I'd say. I didn't have much familiarity with ringworm, so had to look it up. It looks angry and a little like it might be spreading, as there are faint circular reddish 'ghost circles' nearby. She's worried about it.
I had suggested some grated turmeric in clay, or raw honey. Externally, I think she had only previously put garlic on it, and then got the idea to put on a slice, for a few hours, which created a pencil erasor-sized blister at the edge, and some tiny black dots--which seem to be gone now.
The sense is, it is not 'going away', and I think she's quite worried. I'm thinking she probably simply burnt it, with the garlic. She told me it's been there for a few weeks.
Prior to this, she had a bad sore throat type cold, (not strep, but she was told it might be "mono"), and this persisted for a few weeks: it followed on/around the death of her uncle, by lymphoma-- She recognized a grief component to it, and it finally went.
There are other family stains now. Her partner's father has "lymphoma" now, and has started chemo. (sadly)
I am wondering if slippery elm might be the best thing now. Some form of poultice. ?
She's been concerned about not having it be moist--and was leaving it mostly uncovered. The 'neat thing' to me is, she bought some turmeric root, and felt like giving some to me. I think it was a good intuition--the turmeric. She doesn't have a lot of Natural Healing stuff, and neither do I.
What do you suggest? Turmeric and slippery elm? Raw honey?
Thanks, Uny.
