Cooking, helps to break down the cellulOSE cell wall in vegetables that are difficult for humans to break down since we don't produce a lot of cellulASE enzymes. Steaming is best, as he states, as it helps to preserve some of the nutrients. Most vegeables are typically over-cooked.
I think that there is good advice there. You can tell that he has training in the importance of certain food types according to Chinese medicine food principles. I haven't always found those to be accurate for everyone.
Nightshade veggies can increase inflammation, but that's usually just in people who already have low-grade chronic inflammation.
I would change his hypoglycemia recommendation. It's a little outdated, but still helpful.
What I like most is that he doesn't come down hard against any one way of eating, but provides helpful recommendations.
I don't know about the supplement recommendations or the specific meditation he mentions. Those probably relate more to his personal preferences. I do like that he mentions that brand, dosage, and type or kind are important. Quality varies quite a bit.
His statement that 50% of people could be healed with his program is probably off, as the majority of Americans don't eat well and don't exercise. It's probably a higher number. The age old recommendations of eat well (organic whole foods), get plenty of sleep, exercise, take time for reflection (daily prayer, meditation, etc), and spending time with loved ones, will probably help most people with many imbalances. The world in which those recommendations were developed was much less polluted by drugs and chemicals, so detoxification on an ongoing basis should be an addition to this philosophy. He goes into saunas and detoxification as well. It's good to have information like his out there.
