I know HV has never recommended the liver cleansing you see all over this website so I have avoided them. I take Grape Bitters twice a day and do castor oil liver packs every night. I have done this for almost a year now with no improvement. My diet is straight from the earth. Food sensitivities are out of control as well as the brain fog. Any ideas?? Help or recommendations are greatly appreciated : )
Food sensitivities are most likely from leaky gut allowing protein solutes to leak in to the bloodstream. A lack of flora and/or weak adrenals contribute to the problem by leading to increased inflammation of the intestines. Allergies, which also stem from adrenal dysfunction, can also increase food sensitivities. Therefore, I would recommend focusing on building up your adrenals and reducing intestinal inflammation for the food sensitivities. Here is an old post on building the adrenals:

For the intestinal inflammation I prefer licorice root, yucca root, live culture foods and soft fibers such as rice bran, oat bran and vegetable gums.
Brain fog is most often caused by hypothyroidism, which is frequently missed during thyroid lab tests. A more accurate way to tell if your thyroid is low is by doing your basal body temperature and seeing if you have other signs associated with hypothyroidism. Many medications also have brain fog as a side effect.
Hypercalcemia can also cause this and can a number of other things, but these are not common causes.
