Hanna, I'm sorry for not replying sooner. I couldn't handle being on the computer. I took a spoonful of bee pollen, grape bitters and ate a handful of blueberries before laying in bed for the rest of day/night. The bee pollen made my neck swell, hurt a bit more than usual & ears slightly burn. I kept a glass of water nearby, to sip on. After eating the blueberries I started feeling small sharp pain in my gallbladder, and as before they were tolerable and didn't last long.
I tried my best to try and get some sleep. After 7-8 hours I started feeling better. Right now I'm not feeling the pain, thank God! I have a headache and a stiff achy neck, maybe after I eat something the headache will go away.
Now that my little one is in his terrible 2's it's a little hard to have the extra time to research. I will definitley need to make some time one way or another, to find a list of foods I can and can't eat.
Yes, the Dr said I had stones. I don't have the medical records for it. They saw a shadow or shadows. She referred me to a gallbladder surgeon. I wasn't able to keep the appt at the time, but she knew I didn't want it removed. She said it was best to remove it because it will continue forming stones.
Stone formation can be a symptom just as much as it is a problem. Taking the gallbladder out does not address the cause, only the symptom.
It is possible that your pain was from a stone lodged in the ducts, and not a gallbladder attack.
The gallbladder pain was severe when I was pregnant (2009- it started). A dietician from WIC said it is common in pregnancy. The radiologist kinda struggled since the baby was quite active, coming out in the ultrasound pictures. I was referred to a surgeon. He said surgery was too risky for me and the baby. He was also concerned about how the anesthesia would affect the baby.
Elevated estrogen and progesterone both increase the risk of gallstones.
He said that if my eyes/skin turned yellow I'd have to get emergency surgery. I hoped I'd make it through the pregnancy without complications. A friend mentioned a liver flush. When I told the Dr. he adviced me not to do one because of the risk of a stone getting stuck.
True.
I didn't take the pain meds they offered me- to protect my baby's health.
I had excessive vomiting, salivation, weakness, dizziness, fatigue but I'm sure it was related to my pregnancy. I went through all of that except for the salivation with all of my pregnancies, this last one was much worse than I expected. Thank God I got through the storm, even though I lay in bed most of my pregnancy and dh would cook for me because I felt too weak and vomited way too much. The gallbladder attacks were daily. The important thing was making it through the pregnancy.
You can increase your fiber intake, B vitamins and lecithin safely during pregnancy. All of these can reduce the risk of gallstones.
One thing you mentioned leads me to believe that this is not a gallbladder attack. Gallbladder attacks will start shortly after eating a fatty meal, but they should only last a few hours at the most. Your pain has gone on much longer. There are a number of things that could cause that same pain and some can be serious. So it would be best to have some tests done to find out for sure what is happening.
Thank you so much for you reply James! I'm sorry for not replying sooner my computer was getting fixed. I hope you get to see this post. Can you please give me an idea of what kind of tests you'd recommend?
I recommend starting with a general blood profile and try to get a scan, such as an MRI. These can narrow things down quite a bit.
By the way, has the pain decreased at all? Anything making it better or worse? Does it come and go or is it constant? Do you have any weird feelings such as feeling your heart beat in your abdomen?
I recommend starting with a general blood profile and try to get a scan, such as an MRI. These can narrow things down quite a bit. Do you have any concerns on contrast dye? I think that’s what they used on me when I had a scan for my neck a few yrs ago. The radiologist told me I’d feel warm but I felt very hot almost like if I was burning.
By the way, has the pain decreased at all? Thank you for asking, the strong steady pain has gone away. Sometimes it feels like it wants to come back. A couple days ago I tested myself by eating 100% whole wheat homemade tortillas & beans for 3 days. I felt pressure on the right upper back/breast.
About 2 weeks ago after drinking ozonated water (wasn’t ozonated at a high concentration) I suddenly started feeling a lot of pressure between my shoulder blades. I had not been drinking /using ozone for a while (glass straw broke/struggling w/ ozone). Recently started drinking diluted 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide and the same thing happened except the pain wasn’t as strong as with the ozonated water.
Anything making it better or worse? To be honest, I’m not exactly sure but I think by eating foods that affect my gallbladder. I’m continuing magnesium malate (lower dose), grape bitters, a little bee pollen, apple cider vinegar after eating and try to remember to take cascara sagrada. I try to rebound when I can as long as I don’t feel too light headed or dizzy.
Does it come and go or is it constant? When the strong steady pain occurred for those days, it was constant (kept on going).
Do you have any weird feelings such as feeling your heart beat in your abdomen? Not besides heart palpitations (from thyroid) which I haven’t had a problem with anymore. When I was a teen my grandma used to check my stomach and tell me I had a “latido”- “palpitation” in english. She said it was like a mass (ball) of meat that formed in the stomach due to the acid dripping into the empty stomach. I remember feeling it palpitate and move slowly. It was really weird… this went on until around my 20’s. I had a bad habit of not eating when I’d feel sad or upset.
I feel a thickening along the right side of my back closer to my spine. Sometimes I feel a dull pain in that area. One of the things that happened to me this week is that my bottom got really numb after a few minutes of sitting. My tail bone has been dislocated 10yrs. From around 2008 it used to be that if I crossed my right leg over my left within the first 5-10 minutes my right leg & right buttock got numb. My right kidney has been hurting again and sometimes I get a small sharp pain in the upper mid section of my abdomen. I think it's because I started drinking diluted food grade hydrogen peroxide. I bought a nasal spray bottle emptied it, put fg diluted peroxide in it and squirt it into my throat then drink water.
Yesterday (2/21) when I swallowed 3 "0" veggie caps, they got stuck in my throat for a few minutes (my fault). I don't know what I was thinking... =/ it took a little while for them to go down after drinking more water. It hurt down my chest (esophagus) as they went down. I used to be able to swallow several capsules at a time, until my enlarged thyroid gave me problems.
After drinking a full mason jar of ozonated water (2/22), the swelling around my neck went down except for the thickening I feel on the right half. Later swallowed 2 veggie caps and they went down fine. The ozone and a bunch of raw garlic helped decrease some of the nonstop throat/lymph node pain that is still affecting me. The strange thing is that after drinking ozonated water I felt really tired. I've been having moments of weakness, tiredness and like I can't think. I felt much worse from my mind, spaced out, slow thinking, couldn't get my words out right. It took me about 1hr to be able to get up and moving to cook, maybe because I also felt a bit dizzy and hungry. It usually gives me energy even if I haven't had breakfast, so this took me by surprise. I'm still feeling dizzy(more when I blink), kind of spaced out & forgetful.
I'm going to take a nap and see if that helps. Actually I feel like my memory problem gets a little worse as the days go by. I'm reading on Vit. B deficiency and as soon as I find a Dr. (debating between a naturopath/conventional) I will ask for a test.
I was going to see a chiropractor that a friend highly recommended. My toddler deleted her # from my phone, have to wait until she calls me back. You recommended I see a chiropractor, I can't remember if you said one that “pulls the neck” or “doesn’t pull the neck” (can't seem to find that info)
James I am really sorry to take longer than I should to reply. My toddler is a great little boy and I love him a lot but lately he’s been very attached to me. I’ve been trying to write back to you and every time I try, he climbs up on my laps and wants to take over to paint, look at his baby pics, play games. He has more energy than me that he doesn't always know what to do with it. Sometimes we jump on the rebounder together :) Right now he’s fine reading books.
Thank you very much for everything as always! God Bless you!

p.s. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up the problem with my neck/throat. I'll try getting further diagnosis on it.

The biggest risk with contrast dye is allergies. And yes, from what I have heard from a number of people it does burn. But contrast dye is not needed for all scans.

I wonder if maybe you have an infection going on in the lungs. The oxidizers would increase the immune systems fight against an infection. Have you been coughing, and coughing up any colored phlegm?

Be careful with the cascara sagrada. It is a stimulant laxative and can cause a laxative dependence with regular use.

Stress can do that since it adversely affects the thyroid. And hypothyroidism can lead to mental fogginess.

Yes, that pulls the neck, not twists the neck. The neck is massaged first to warm up the muscles, tendons and ligaments. Then the neck slowly stretched straight. As the traction is applied to the neck the muscles will contract inward pulling the neck vertebrae back in to alignment.

No problem. The more information the better. Some things that seem unrelated are sometimes actually related.

Throat pain like this can be a number of things. Is there any way to get some tests to confirm exactly what is going on?
Yes, I have insurance. Can you please let me know what tests you recommend? I can't decide what kind of Dr. is best for me- holistic/conventional. To see a holistic/ND is distant- it's ok. It probably doesn't matter huh?
Don't know how I'm going to sleep from now on. The pain has spread down to my collar bone- caused a steady ongoing headache (not a migrane). Extremely painful (at least a 10) after drinking ozone water- throat, tonsils, neck, much more on the right half like always. So much pressure and 1/2 right- face/neck is numb. Sudden pulses of cramy pain on right half of neck/ back of neck. A painful spot in back head- alot of neck/upper body stiffness. Some pressure down upper back & within chest. Thyroid got more enlarged.
I can handle a lot of pain- to a point. I do my best to block it out. I've been doing it for so long and it is depressing but this has really gone overboard. I'm not sure how much longer I can handle it.
You do have a lot of symptoms of hypothyroidism, but this still would not account for all your symptoms. The raw tissues and phlegm are likely more from acid reflux.
ok, I might be missing some symptoms- struggle to make decisions. Difficulty to concentrate & focus. My mind suddenly jumps from one thought to another losing focus on what I should have been focusing on. The ozone water got me really wired- making all these symptoms much worse and making me feel anxious (not paronoid). I've felt anxious in my life but it's not severe. Jumpy & talk too much with people I'm close to-my kids tell me. I don't blame them, I try to share health info/videos with them & others.
I get very hungry- tend to overeat. Trying to get to a normal weight has been a struggle. Always being told I'm too skinnyCurrently about 110. In the last 3 mo. I lost control on how much I was eating. It was bad James. I felt numb to it and had never overate this way before. As soon as it hit me I broke down in tears and realized what I was doing- it was out of emotional stress. I felt like a big failure to myself, dh, kids- my poor little 2yr old.
Trying to water fast almost 2days. Drinking 32 oz of pau darco with licorice root per day I plan on doubling the tea. I'm using alot of bark- can it be boiled twice right after the 1st boil or stored in the fridge?
Drinking reverse osmosis water & distilled in plastic gallons. Reverse osmosis doesn't give us enough water when we need it. Takes long to refill. I hope I don't get worse while attempting a water fast.
Not a problem. Sometimes it helps a lot just to talk.
Thanks for understanding... yes, sometimes it does help to talk.
I recommend the Thyroid Tonic for the thyroid issues, but it still is not clear what the other issues are for sure. I think trying the slippery elm and licorice root tea would be a good start for the other symptoms.
I'll try it...would your ginko green be ok?
The ozone water is making my pain too unbearable- yet it's still hurts alot without it. I started writing to you a few hrs after you replied. I saved it to finsh it later because my mind was too racy and I couldn't focus from the ozone/pain. Do you think I should only drink the ozone water every other day or can you suggest a daily ozone therapy you think is best for me?
I'm drinking up to 32 oz. in 1 day but discontinued other treatments because of the struggle with the irritation. Today I skipped the water but still have pain & throat feels like it's closing in. I thought I saw my throat looking different but I'll wait for a Dr to check me. For now I'll just try to do the best I can. I will have to go back on raw garlic.
EDITED 3/18: I did great with the water fast. I'm going to try it every other day instead. For now I'm going to do my best to eat 1 meal a day & juice daily. I didn't do ozone today the pain decreased for e few minutes then up and 5 minutes ago it reduced enough for me to try and block it out (may be talking too soon)- ate shitake mushrooms. Haven't slept pretty sure it's been 1 day. I'm feeling more encouraged so that will help me.
I truly appreciate everything your doing. The kind of help I'd never got from my Drs. It really means alot to me and I pray that God always blesses you & takes care of you...
