Then again, the article that references the journal indicates that rats were used in the experiements, a little different than human trials. But, highly indicative of potential for using probiotics instead of drugs like antibiotics - I'm all for that type of treatment. They still joke about yogurt not being a good treatment path, but yogurt is often garbage food unless it's not a commercial byproduct of health conscious, yet naive, consumers. I can tell where this research is headed - genetically modified (patented) micro-organisms that supress leptin production prescribed to patients at local pharmacies near you!
