My mom is 80 years old. She was diagnosed with arteriosclerosis (calcium deposits in the brain vessels). Everything else is normal such as blood pressure, heart arteries, sugar level, etc). She goes to a geriatric dept for maintenance every half a year. After it she feels good for about a week or two then all the symptoms come back. The symptoms are: bad brain fog and vertigo. She is afraid even to step out of the house. I was surprised that doctors did not prescribe vitamins.
Could you suggest vitamins, herbs, minerals for such condition?
There are three essential nutrients I recommend.
Lecithin granules are a fat emulsifier and helps dissolve the cholesterol deposits in the plaque. Recommended amount is 1 tablespoon three times daily.
Magnesium malate helps with removing the calcium deposits in the arterial plaque. It also helps expand blood vessels and increases ATP levels for proper cell function. I recommend 300mg 2-3 times daily.
Silica strengthens the arterial walls and reduces inflammation to help prevent plaque formation. The best way to get silica is by adding diatomaceous earth to water. I have several old posts on the subject that can be found by searching for "silica", "orthosilicic acid" or "gallon".
