Two of the latest technologies for oral cancer screening are the VELscope and ViziLite Plus.
Doc checked me out and everything's normal.
Great news, glad to hear it.
Suppose I have a small cancerous or pre-cancerous lesion on the inside of my cheek and I want to swish with HP solution to eradicate it. What strength would you recommend and for how long (sec, min), and how many times per day? Or would the strength needed be so strong that it precludes swishing and needs to be applied directly?
From what I can tell conventional treatment is either radiation or chemotherapy. Yikes.
Edit. Was just doing some research. Looks like HP is not the way to go. Hmmm.
Yes, peroxide is an excellent way to go for suspected lesions. And it is especially effective for actual malignancies.
I recommend using 35% peroxide. It is applied directly with a cotton swab dipped in the peroxide then the excess squeezed out. Use rubber gloves when handling 35% peroxide and don't get it near the eyes. It will burn when applied to tissues. It is generally applied then f needed applied again every three to four days until gone.
