I have had ulcerative colitis for almost ten years now. I am 23. I have been doing various things to lessen my current flare and I remembered sometihng which could be significant about my last flare which happened about two years ago. I was having a very bad flare up and becoming very anemic. I decided to go and buy a KFC one day. The roll I bought contained pepper and it raised my temperature a bit. That raised body temperature seemed to change into a fever and my stomach started rumbling and acting strangely. The next day...NO BLOOD! It went from heavy bleeding (about 8oz lost each day) to zero blood over night.
Any ideas? This goes against almost every notion for me.
