Thank you, Curezone
Candida Forum . You guys have rescued me from giving up, and you don’t even know it.
Sometimes, like this afternoon, I think about what talking with people here does. I don’t take that for granted to begin with, but some days it really hits home.
Maybe you all can relate to the load it takes off of one's shoulders reading comments from folks who understand specific health hurdles - hurdles that I can't talk over with the people in my life. My friends and family mean well, but even my most health-enlightened friends are in another world from where I sit, keeping my thoughts to myself, because they don't have anything like these health issues. Like many of you, I plug away at it on my own.
Shucks, your posts are like a shining beacon to me when I’m faced with brownies that would make me feel spectacular for about an hour, but then sick as a dog for the next five days. Where else can I go where people actually understand that calling brownies “horrid” would not be in jest. The hours I spend logging supplements to figure out which ones work for my gut would have gone by the wayside, even with glimmers of progress, had I not had another soul to discuss it with.
I'm moving slowly up the hill in improving my health; (it’s not slow for everyone; if you are more organized than I am you’ll probably make faster progress). After earlier in my life working at this without the benefit of communicating any of it to another person, I would have given up a few years ago had I not found this forum to compare notes with you all.
Thank you for comparing ideas on this forum. Thank you for coming here to cheer on whoever needs it that day. I don't always have a good attitude. Thank you for putting up with my argumentative side, it surfaces because I want to fix this problem in everyone – the whole world, if I could - and sometimes I get a little up in arms about ideas. I’ve tried to moderate that. But every time I open this page, my purposes are twofold: to keep myself focused on the goal for all the work I’m doing in my own life, and to think about how I can help someone else, if not now then someday.
Keep up the good fight, all of you. :-)
