Hi Dr. Hardy,

I just got back from Gyn and I was told I have polycystic ovaries. I have known this since the birth of my firstborn 3 years ago. However I now have a small cyst on my left ovary. The Gyn has asked me to go on birth control pills for a month to break the cyst and glucophage for 3 months to control the polycycstic nature of the ovaries. I want to get pregnant soon, but don't want to have a miscarriage due to the cyst. Should I go on the prescribed treatment or look for an alternative? I do not like to follow allopathic meds unless absolutely necessary. Pls advise. Waiting anxiously to hear back. Thank you.
