Since new DNA study show that Palestinians are genetically closer to the ancient Hebrews…?
Posted by admin on October 28, 2011
…than many Israelis today, does it mean that the Palestinians are also part of the “chosen people”? Do they also have (Assuming that the results of the study is correct.)
Advanced DNA testing recently conducted in Israel was aimed to show that Jews world-wide are linked to the Middle East. The testing also just happened to show Palestinians as lying directly in the center of Jewish genetics.
Based on a genetic data, Palestinians are probably the direct descendants of ancient Jews who never left their ancestral land and who later converted to Christianity and Islam.

I meant to add as additional question: “Do they also have the right to the land given by God to the Jews since they are also descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?”
Somehow, the questioned was cut and shortened to “Do they also have”, LOL.
@angel1966
If you are saying that the Palestinians are descendants of Ysmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar, then you are WRONG. The Bedouin Arabs call themselves the “sons of Ysmael” because they claim to be direct descendants of Ysmael. The other Arabs are usually referred to as the “sons of Shem.” But Palestinians are not really Arabs. What the DNA study implies is that Palestinians are decensdants of ancient Jews (Hebrews), and therefore also descendants of Abraham and Sarah (not Abraham and Hagar as you erroneously think). In fact, the study says that they are more genetically related to the ancient Jews (Hebrews) than the modern Jews, who have been mixed with other blood like Caucasian and Turkik.

1. < It shows that the Arabs are our cousins. This is not news to either groups. Arabs trace themselves back to Ishmael. Jews trace themselves back to Isaac. Isaac and Ishmael were brothers.>
Nope. The study suggests that Palestinians are descended from Isaac just like the other Jews. The study further suggests that the Palestinians are more related to the ancient Hebrews. BTW, the study was conducted to address the issue that the modern day Jewish people are not really Semetic but mainly Turkik Khazars who converted to Judaism in the 7th century, and that they also have been mixed with Caucasian blood while in exile. It just happened that the study also revealed that based on DNA data, the Palestinians are closer to the ancient Hebrews. Thus, the Palestinians may be purer Hebrews than modern day Jews. The study also did not classify the Palestinians as Arabs.

@affinity292 part 2.
Actually I did address them but for some reason my response to your comment no 2 was cut out.
2. < According to the Bible, Israel belongs to the descendants of Isaac, and then of those, only the descendants through Jacob.>
If according to the Bible descendants of Isaac gets Israel then that study shows the the Palestinians are entiltled to that right being descendants of Isaac also.
But if the study is spurious or the results are not correct, then the same study did not disprove the claims by some sectors that the modern day Jews occupying present day Israel are not really genetically Hebrews but descendants of some Turkik people (Khazars).
READ MY QUESTION AGAIN. I did not make any assertion. I asked a question based on a supposed study that disproved allegations that modern Jews are not descended from ancient Hebrews but also proved that Palestinians are also descended from ancient Hebrews and even had more ancient Hebrew blood. I did not assert thes
@affinity292 part 2 (continued)
I did not assert these findings to be true. If you read my question I mentioned…”Assuming that the results of the study is correct.” That means I do not take the study at face value, but see it as a possiblilty (theory but not fact). I asked the question to get opinions.
YOU are the one who made an assertion but have not backed it up with anything.
(I noticed that the last part was again not posted…I don’t know why this is happening when it says I have more than 4,000 characters left).

< there is no relation between
Science (DNA studies) and religious (choosen people) >
So what you are trying to say is that being chosen (or choosen as you say) is based on religion and not genetics. So even if you a person is not descended from Isaac and Jacob, he belongs to the chosen people. I will not dispute that but of course many Christians also say that the new chosen people are the Christians and no longer the Jews since they rejected the Son of God as messiah.
Chosen Answer:
1 – there is no relation between
Science (DNA studies) and religious (choosen people)
2 -palestinian today are the descendants of a blend of mixed people which came from all over the islamic empires and probabily only a part of them were original habitants who converted to christianism or islamism along the centuries.
3 -jews all over the world also have in general semitic DNA components.
4 – 25% percentage of the spain habitants has also jews origins , as you see is ridiculous to see them as some kind of choosen people and by this ridiculous argument you can claim that a lot of people in the world with some jew relation is one of them.
