Hi jenny,
Thank you for your reply.
Build up your immune system, do oil pulling (see recent thread here on OP and root canals), and relax!
Can you point me to the thread?
Check out Ramiel Nagel's work
I have considered you reply and checked out his website and I have some questions.
I believe that my nutrition is quite good and I have been taking supplements for quite a few years, including CoQ10, so I am a little puzzled? Am I to assume that my nutrition is not good enough; do I need to become stricter with myself?
I see that Ramiel Nagel says that one should avoid fruit. I love fruit and eat a lot of it during the course of the day.
Do I need to avoid all fruit or is some fruit better than other fruit from a dental perspective?
The problem is that in my early teenage years I had a dentist who drilled first and asked questions later. So I had a lot of amalgam fillings. 30 to 35 years later, some of them are now giving in and some that have been replaced with composite fillings and are also starting to become sensitive to hot and cold stimulation.
I have also recently had my first root canal treatment and the dentist says the tooth in front of it has a dead nerve and an abscess and I should have a root canal and crown procedure performed on that tooth as well. I am very saddened by this news.
So the question I really have is can anything be done for teeth that have already had dental work performed on them?
I can understand Ramiel Nagel's approach on virgin teeth, but will it work on teeth that have been subjected to the dentist’s drill etc.?
Can you also provide me a protocol on how to perform oil pulling, and a when and how and also how does one fit it into a conventional oral hygiene program (or is this not advisable)?
The do's and don'ts, and which oils to use and synergistic treatments?
Are you aware of any dentists who actually agree with oil pulling as solution to these problems?
Am I correct to assume that you and MrCuddly contribute to this forum based on your experience of using Oil Pulling and not from any dental qualifications?
I have also seen a post here (cannot track it down again) by practitioner of Oil Pulling and Natural Health that this person did extensive research in the alternative health literature and cannot find any reference to Oil Pulling as genuine alternative therapy, and has since stopped oil pulling.
Do you have any information to counter this?
