Ive had so many tests dont know if I could remember them all (brainfog) but I will try.

MRI. 3x brain, back and neck
CT scan. Spleen, liver, GI track.
Xrays. At least 6
Echo. 2x fluid around my heart.
MRCT. GI track.
Ultrasound. Swollen spleen
Allergy testing 3x
Blood work too much to count
Swallow study
Colonoscopy
Endoscopy

There was SSA antibioties found in my system, my ANA was positive, low vit D as well. Everything else was normal well except the ultrasound and echos.

My life is nothing but laying in bed and seeing drs and taking medicine to feel barely normal....Im only 34. Mirena has stripped me of my life. Im trying to stay strong, its so hard.

I pray for everyone here that they woukd not have to suffer like me. This thing needs to be taken off the market before it hurts anymore women.

Were they able to do IGE blood testing for the components of Mirena? Silicone and Levonorgestrel, and whatever else is in there? I've been wanting to get myself tested, as I know my total IGE is above normal, and the body has no way of getting rid of the silicone, so I've wondered about that....

To rfblm6: I completley disagree with you. I'm a healthy 25 year old gymnast and have always been healthy and take different vitamins/supplements everyday one being vitamin D and always have (my parents are health nuts) I'm not deficient in vitiamin D and never have been. Never been deficient in any nutrient. I don't even drink alcohol or sodas. Do you think it's just a coincidince that myself as well as THOUSANDS of other women have all the same symptoms after getting Mirena insterted? With all due respect I'm guessing you never went through months of insomnia, panic attacks, hair falling out, depression, hot flashes, burning skin, thoughts of suicide, dry eyes, dry mouth, horrible cramping and blood clots the size of a silver dollars. I NEVER experienced these symptoms at all in my life! I started gymnastics at age 5 and have been doing it ever since as well as having a very healthy diet. If you would have done your research as you claim to have done you would find out that synthetic hormones found in birth control of any kind suppress many womens progesterone receptors. In addition do you realize when the progesterone/estrogen ratio is off it kick starts thyroid, adrenal and auto immune problems in women. the only way women can produce progesterone naturally is by having a period/ovulation. no ovulation, no progesterone. no progesterone = many adverse side effects. What does Mirena do? suppress ovulation so you don't get pregnant. I personally have seen specialist and the only thing that is wrong is i'm not making any progesterone and that is proven to be affected by synthetic hormones. Next time do your research instead of telling thousands of women who have been suffereing that it isn't caused from Mirena when the one thing we have in common is having that piece of crap put in us. I'm currently doing hormone replacement therapy because of what mirena did so don't tell me and these other women that mirena isn't the cause. Do you research next time or better yet don't comment on things you haven't gone through or understand. Thank you.

You have absolutely no business telling women who have suffered greatly from this IUD, that they are not experiencing these things from the IUD! We know our bodies! Regardless that there are a million facts to back up our experiences, you should never tell women whom you have never met what the cause of their suffering is. Clearly you speak from pure ignorance. Women have been through enough with doctors they have to fight with to believe them. I had 3 IUD's before I realized the source of my chronic health deterioration. The Mirena IUD nearly killed me! It should be taken off the market ASAP!! I will tell all women to do their research before getting this life stealing device! Because the doctors won't tell them, the maker of Mirena, Bayer, won't tell them- only other women who have lived through HELL will tell them! My life is FINALLY returning to normal & thank God I made the connection!!!
