I have been taking Armour for a couple of years or so and it was working great. However, I really never liked that it is made from pork as I personally try to eat Biblically and pork is forbidden. (I won't take Synthroid as it didn't really work for me & sounds like it causes long terms problems anyway.)
In the last few weeks my temps started going down. I have been trying to remediate the problem myself by experimenting to see what will make my temp go up and make me feel better.
First, my doctor is a 5 hr. trip away since he was the only one I could find who would really listen to me about my thyroid symptoms and he understands that blood tests are not enough for diagnosing and prescribing.
2nd, I thought I'd try the bovine thyroid, hoping to maybe switch completely off of Armour.
I saw some good reviews for American Biologic's brand on Amazon. It seemed to help elevate my temp at first, but now it is actually doing down! Today it has been below 97. I really feel weak & droopy too.
I have been chewing up the bovine thyroid before swalloing, & taking it throughout the day (3 pills total) as someone recommended in a review at Amazon.
At the same time I am trying to diet and trying to kill off some candida (I got rid of most of it but it never seems to completely go away, so far, as evidenced by enemas that still show some). I wonder if the low temps are related to those issues.
Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone tried American Biologics and have any tips on it? It must be working for some people as they seem to sell a lot of it.
Thanks for any input.
