In my experience, the more toxic the body then the harder it is to maintain the fast, but with a body that is virtually, or actually free of toxemia, it is an enjoyable and uplifting experience, physically, mentally and spiritually.
The hard part for many can also be the hunger pangs which kick in very early in the fast, but once ketosis is in full swing after day 3 to 4, this suppresses the appetite and is far more bearable than say an elimination diet, or a reducing diet aimed at losing weight for example.
The first fast of any great length can be an ordeal because of toxemia, and the consequent symptoms of elimination, but once this has been accomplished, subsequent fasts are as I described above, as long as living and dietary habits are in accord with Natural Hygienic principles based on our physiological needs.
