I cannot and have not been able to get next to any help from traditional or otherwise practitioners.
I am not doing well, and I have really done poorly the last 8 weeks. Within the past couple weeks, I have noticed a slight increase in feeling better.
I do not fast per say. Though I partially fast during the day. I try to get those calories in early, and then sadly I resort to drinking coffee, since it speeds up my digestion. Coffee is not a good choice obviously. But I am talking no digestion vs being able to digest nails. And digesting nails means digesting a lot of nutrients and calories I need, then going and running around in the woods and the sun for six hours in a fasting state that I could break with a non heavy dinner. Basically the dinner is not heavy so long as it contains no saturated fat or heavy beef.
As far as the diet per say. I stick to as much organic veggies and fruit as possible, avoid dairy and gluten or grains and legumes, and I eat a lot of wild salmon or grass fed beef. I would alternate between coconut milk or almonds and could never decide how I was handling it.
Ultimately, after 2 years of being able to maintain a healthy weight, I have to say almonds are the way to go. A couple
ounces a day is great. The starch thing is tough however, and obviously with the coffee I find myself running to eat carbs I otherwise would not. It is very very confusing. Essentially, I told the other guy coffee was not the answer, but that it mainly illustrated a point.
The barefoot herbalist touches on this a great deal, slow, poor digestion really makes you sick in a multitude of ways. For me, I believe it is leading to overwhelming memory loss, cranial hypertension, and maybe even epilepsy.
