Adrenals and Toxic Mold

It seems apparent to me that I have Adrenal fatigue as well as thyroid problems based both on symptoms and on test results; my cortisol is abnormal and an amount of RT3(reverse T3) is showing up.
Thing is, Iv had this black mold in my bathroom for years that I never noticed till recently. Its black and covers the ceiling
Iv heard that mold can send the body into a hyper-allergenic state, allergies cause immune responses and immune responses are said to activate the sympathetic nervous system. If this is true would mold keep one in the sympathetic state, therefore overtaxing the adrenals which are connected to that state and preventing parasympathetic activation which would give rest; then, with the adrenals out of whack, over time the thyroid start to weaken.
Thats just a theorie, could there be any truth to it?
Could that mold have caused all of these adrenal/thyroid problems that have been plaguing me for around two years despite the sustained release T3 and Hydrocortisone I was prescribed?
Could allergens harm the function of the adrenals
The other odd things Im experiencing that are separate from the adrenal/thyroid problems consist of:
Tiny mucous covered ulcers in the sigmoid colon(Its confirmed through multiple tests and symptoms to not be Ulcerative Colitis or Celiacs)
Chronic EBV(confirmed through antibodies)
Extreme amount of eye floaters
Bowels only moving when I take HCL/enzymes with meals
Eyes always red with the blood vessels showing
Elevated Liver enzymes
Could any of these symptoms be explained by mold
I live in Louisiana so the humidity is pretty high here year round
Im going out of town for a week, should that be enough time away from the mold to notice a difference if it is the cause
Where should start looking for an inspector who can identify and remedy this fugal layer

Unfortunately, it is very hard to avoid mold. I am going to try to go on a camping trip to Death Valley, CA and see if that helps. I have heard plenty of reports that folks like us improve a ton when all mold is taken out of play.
The biggest problem is that whole states and regions are too full of mold. The best places are low humidity and warm places.
The theory is we have some sort of infection that makes us hypersensitive to mold, which is not normal.- Re: Adrenals and Toxic Mold overtheedge

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,866,558With the amount of mold in my bathroom(if its toxic or in some way allergenic) it could probably influence a person who is not hypersensitive.
Im wondering if all I have to do is get away from the mold to get well, Ill know soon enough.
Iv read many different posts in the Toxic Mold forum that go into removing mycotoxins and I have to wonder if that is necessary once exposure is heavily reduced; you make a good point though Trick Master, local air levels of fungi and their spores should definitely be considered. - Re: Adrenals and Toxic Mold ring5100

This is a reply to # 1,866,558Please take into consideration too, it is the hottest place in the US that I know of during the summers. Can reach 120+ + +
and extreme heat is a big stressor for the adrena glands, unless you only spend the winters there.
I know. I used to live in Lake Havasu City and the summers there would be between 105-119 and it drained me. I had to do my grocery shopping late at night in the summer.
Just some friendly advise.

This is a reply to # 1,866,743oh definitely! It is only 85 during the day and 60 at night right now in october, perfect time to go to death valley.

At one time, years and years ago, my husband wanted to transfer there ( Calif. Highway Patrol) Said he wondered what it would be like to be the only 2 man post there?
But, if I remember, the summer heat issue decided that for us. He's been retired for some time now. That job along was one contributor to stress for himself and for myself in my AF decline. We've moved 13 times. . . . in his 20 years on the force. I've always hated moving period.

This is a reply to # 1,867,181I think so. I get extreme Depression and anxiety when I go into particularly moldy places. I am going to test out the effects by going to dry climate. I already feel much better in Hawaii.
I do not have any sinus problems or allergies.

This is a reply to # 1,866,490Hi, an overstimulated immune system often is driven to mistakingly "attacking" the thyroid in "hashimoto's" but also i understand can cause the other direction of grave's
That certainly was the cause of my thyroid problems. I was on unnecessary levothyroxine for 6 years until i changed my diet, then i grew ill from overmedication and my doctors had to take me completely off thyroid meds. ..i should never have been on them
it sounds like the mold has effected you. I've heard some people say it can cause leaky gut all by itself. leaky gut is on spectrum with UC and IBD. also, UC i hear is generally involving a parasitic infection. sounds like the floaters might be evidence of that. certainly is for me
SCD some find is very helpful for UC (specific carbohydrate diet) I swear by it.

p.s. my understanding is that once mold has colonized inside you, you are very vulnerable to it in your external
environment.
p.p.s. there are some very interesting posts on curezone about mold and livers. also, UC can mess with your liver. I find the mold connection far more interesting in terms of recovery
p.p.s. a hurtin' liver can drain adrenals, which can mess with thyroid

This is a reply to # 1,866,490Yes. Black mold can cause all of the symptoms you mentioned. I am currently suffering from Multiple Chemical sensitivity due to mold exposure over a period of 7 months. Black mold is a potent neuro-toxin. It definitely affected my brain as evidenced by tremors. i thought my immune system was injured only but further research is revealing that this syndrome is centered in the brain and can develop in brain trauma due to accidents also. i have found some good professional sites with info regarding this syndrome. i will go to my bookmarks and post them for you. Trying to create a comfortable environment for myself has been a challenge. The anxiety and panic has been overwhelming at times. i suggest checking out mary short Ray D.O. site.
