I had a failing # 2 tooth
root canal extracted today. It went pretty good only the dentist said it did not bleed enough he put some kind of gel over it - I guess to seal it and I am concerned about getting a dry socket.
My biological dentist said to have him curette the socket and remove the periodontal ligament and I ask him to do that. I hope he did. I forgot to ask.
They told me and I have read that lower teeth tend to dry socket more and since this is an upper tooth I am hoping that it has better circulation and that it will Not Dry Socket. I pray it will cover over and heal properly. but after what he said. and the fact that he gave me his cell number and a prescription for the strong does of Vicodin concerned me a little. I don't do pain well.
I was in a fog when I left there and I can't remember much - I know no hot foods, no sucking or spitting or drinking from a straw. Can't remember if he said no spicy foods. Seems Like cayenne would be good for the circulation. I am totally leaving it alone except for Amoxicillin and Vicodin. I do have a sheet that says take it easy for 24 hrs. That should be easy I came home and took a 2 hour nap and now I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
Anyone have Tips for after extraction care and or some good soft food to eat?
Wonder when I can go back to Oil Pulling and using
Essiac tea?
I think the Oil pulling and the
Essiac Tea might have been factors that helped to detox bacteria out of this dead decaying
root canal tooth. It needed to be removed and I feel all the hurt and sadness from my life getting pulled with it today. It is the Grace of God that gave the strength to let go of this danger and the sadness with seemed to come up with the loss of it.
