I just discovered the lubricant I've been using for years has parabens in it and until today, I was unaware of exactly what parabens do to the body.
Being estrogenic they are suspected of contributing to some cancers.
I now think parabens my be the cause of some of my issues. So is there any way I can get this stuff out of my body?
Xenoestrogens tend to be fairly stable compounds with a high affinity for fatty tissues in the body. The good news is that estrogenic compounds can be readily broken down by oxidation. So ozone or other oxidizers can be used, such as ozonated water.
If I avoid this stuff will my body eventually get rid of it? I've known about avoiding Xenoestrogens for a while. I just didn't know this was one of them.
You can assist your body in breaking these down by cleansing the liver with digestive bitters. The liver breaks down estrogenic compounds, then the flora break down these metabolites. So bitters are my first choice. Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day when using bitters and they are not advised if your gallbladder has been removed. Your liver is also dependent on B vitamins to break down estrogens, so B vitamin rich foods or B vitamin supplementation is recommended as well. And don't forget to build up your flora to deal both with the metabolites and for the production of B vitamins.
