wow...thats a pretty interesting piece of information there! What role does lithium play on the body that would give rise to problem lips or is there also a possibility it could be the other way round ie the condition itself and reason for its prescription that gives rise to problem lips in the first place..? a part combination of both?
Apparently on another "peeling lips" website elsewhere the most "likely" person to suffer from peeling lips would be a "woman in her thirties with psychological issues" or something near to that...Assuming this data is accurate and it's based on an appropriate sample size of patients and statistically viable; this fact surely merits further enquirey/consideration? Previous attempts by some bold open individuals here, however, have mostly been left talking into their hats without much response..which if this "Fact" does hold water...and people gloss it over, finding the "cure" for some individuals will continue to remain out of reach! Curiously though why women in particular? Is this accurate or misleading and is it because men avoid drs and psychological support and enhancement more than women do so would not be accounted for in the statistics etc etc..
All i can gather, if i do approach this from one angle..and there are a myriad of angles to approach this condition from!! Women are deemed to be more in touch with their feelings and emotions thus more affected and thrown off centre by bumps in the road compared to males apparently.....but some guys, on the sensitive side.. can be as equally too..( although numbed out emotions or frozen ones rendering one unfeeling , in order to cope..are ways of also coping but long term is unhealthy too)
But depending on the individuals chosen method and ability to cope with lifes stressors and size and severity of bumps in lifes road trip, some individuals maybe ok, recover "on the surface".. or need psychological support, some will try DIY self help books, some will stick close with their close buddy called denial. stastically too..people who are emotionally mentally psychologicaly under par are less likely to commit to a healthy regime and make healthier, adjustments and choices and are as good as cupping a hand by the mouth and calling out to invite illness to their house, and over the threshold of their front door! I can appreciate how much concerted effort this life style change requires..especially when the blues are upon you or in the middle of a thunderstorm or stuck in a mud rutt and the wheels are spinning, even the background daily grind of a senseless job that your hearts not into can take it's toll etc..
There is also a held belief / concept by some people in the field of health which depending on the personality and nature of an individual can be a marker and sign post to which type of illness the individual could be prone to travel towards..eg heart attack cancer, rheumatism etc..the question is is..this condition more prevelant in people with a certain type of nature? I'm an artistic creative type/appreciate the artistic side of life a deep sea diver thinker sensitive to people and atmospheres bla bla bla, as an eg..
but if lithium ..is a side effect...well.. that could be relevant and usefull for some people who are prescribed it and explain things..and even to those that aren't ..is still valuable to considered the role and possible repercussions on the body to unlock a few answers regardless!! I'm guessing it has a biochemical effect involving the nervous system and consequently alters emotional responses..?
ps people who go out of their way with intent to harm and are cruel for kicks are,in my book, the "crazies", yet largely go undetected and "pass" as "normal"!!!
