Hi, just wanted to report for the curious about a 21 day water fast. I lost 22 pounds, but as I posted a few days ago, I was very weak this time around (have fasted numerous times before). I broke the fast with juice, very little of it, and it's amazing how much better one feels so quickly. I had been drinking smartwater and vitamin water zero, so tried very hard to keep the electrolytes right and in balance so I am not sure why I felt so weak. I think my need was really for sodium, as that is what I have craved since ending the fast on Sunday.
Just to report, drinking only about 300 cal. of juice each day, I have put on 1.5
pounds already, and it's not water, because I have a scale that shows percentage of body water and that has stayed even. So who knows? I am proceeding as carefully as I can because I always gain it all back after fasting, I am sorry to say.
For me, right now I need to shrink myself, not so much weigh myself, so I think I need the ability to exercise, which I absolutely could not do while fasting this time around. I was just really really weak. So I am going to low calorie
juicing to see if that will take me where I need to go (something like 20 more
pounds by the end of this month). What I really need to lose is some
inches to fit into a dress, so I am going more for that--no one is going to weigh me at a social event!
