I took a criminal amount of antibiotics when I was younger and consequently, have long believed that I have systemic candida and started the plan 3 weeks ago. -- Today I went to a gastroenterologist and she said that she wouldn't do any testing for candida because it has been so long since I took the antibiotics that my intestinal flora would have replenished itself on its own. -- What do you think of this? And what specific tests do you recommend for accurately diagnosing candida? -- Also, can you have these tests done if you are already taking the supplements or will it skew the results? -- Thank you!
Co-ordinate these findings with signs and symptoms, past health history, history of antibiotics use, and any results experienced when doing a candida cleanse or anticandida products.
I believe that any past antibiotic use and exposures can create systemic fungal candida.
Thank you for your response. Do these tests have to be ordered by a doctor? -- Also can you do them while you are on the plan or will it skew the results? -- Thanks again!
Yes, they have to be ordered by a doctor. It depends on where you are in the Plan as to how the results will be affected. In the very beginning, somewhat, and more so as you progress through it.
