I have owned an Omega 8002 for around 5 years and I bought that used so the juicer was at least 10 years old.
I was trying to squeeze some oil/cream from some coconut meat and this was a brown coconut so the meat was a good half
inch thick. Not like the soft meat from young coconuts. I made the mistakes that the meat I tried to squeeze had been refrigerated over night which makes it harder thus tough to grind and very hard to get any cream out. This made the cap of the screen cone pop out and it pushed out the drum cap and busted the tabs that hold it in place. Oh well nother lesson learned.
I did a search and found the number for Omega Juicers. I called them fully expecting to have to pay for the parts since I was the not original owner and the machine was at least 10 years old. To my surprise the guy from Omega did not ask me how it broke or for any proof of purchase or anything for that matter. He just told me to email a picture of the broken part and that it would be replaced free of charge. Great I tought!! but resigned myself to hafta wait several weeks. Well both to my delight and surprise after I had just called yesterday. Today I received an email telling me that my part was being shipped out tomorrow. Now that is what I call great customer service!!
