Wheatsie,
You've got troll tattooed on the back of neck! ;)
Just kidding but I disagree that it's a good idea to just jump in. Some people think that a good way to learn to swim is to get thrown in the deep end but it's best not to try that without a lifeguard standing by. I think that fasting is just as dangerous if done without a proper understanding of it and someone close at hand to pull us out if things go wrong.
Before I tried my first one day fast, I read several publications on the subject. When I did begin, I found that the fasting part was easy. It was the refeeding part that proved difficult and, for me, that is where the supervision is greatly needed.
I suspect that, in this forum, people use fasting as the first tool for health issues when they should be learning and attempting to sort out their diet first. In the

forum I see people trying to do it all with the diet and, except for a few members, completely disregard fasting as a tool for healing. What would be better is for both groups to adopt a balanced approach that would reduce the need for frequent fasts while using fasts to expedite healing when needed.
Keep up the good work, all of you.
