Okay, I got my
Amalgams taken out in the end of March. I had a brief flare-up 5 days later, but began to feel better after that. I'm slowly improving; my hunger is decreasing over time and I have more energy. I'm taking a Heavy Metal Cleanse product and
Bentonite clay.
My doctor, who unsurprisingly hasn't heard that mercury blood tests are useless because mercury doesn't remain in the bloodstream, suggested I get it tested. The night before, I took the Heavy Metal Cleanse product, in the hopes that it would get the mercury circulating through my blood so it would be detected.
Well, I called about my blood tests, and other than slightly elevated cholesterol, I'm normal. Nothing about mercury there.
So, what's that about? I know mercury blood tests are said to be pathetic and useless, that they miss 9 out of 10 cases of mercury toxicity because they're testing the wrong thing, but did the Heavy Metal Cleanse not get it in my blood stream noticeably enough? What, if anything, does this "normal" test result mean? How DO you reliably test for mercury? What can I tell my doctor? (From past experience, let's just say I don't expect doctors to know a whole lot)
I'll continue to detox anyway. I've noticed improvement by doing so, and especially by getting those
Amalgams removed.
