It's all so confusing since you read one thing and then you read something which contradicts it. How do we know who to trust?
My understanding is the weakness with DMSA is that it doesn't maintain it's effect for very long. That's true with mercury or lead. That's why Cutler says to take it every 4 hours. The best thing is that it works with both mercury and lead.
EDTA works the best for lead, but it doesn't work well for mercury. It's somewhat risky if you have mercury since it stirs the stuff up without effectively removing it.
This is what 90% of the things I've read say about EDTA, and then I read one that claims EDTA works for mercury. I'm going to choose to believe the idea from the 90% until I see something solid which contradicts it.
