hi everyone...i'm considering getting either an omega 8003 or champion juicer. i'm looking for something that juices apples and lemons well (will be doing kidney cleanse). my green power juicer is of course not suited to this.
i've had a champion juicer before and it's very good with fruit. i sold it a while ago. oops. but i didn't like the high rpm anyhow.
so my question is, anyone have comments on use with omega 8003 or 8006? can you juice a quart of apple juice without it full of pulp? does the pulp come out fairly dry? how quick is it with carrot?
i know what the champion juicer is with these, and it's good, but if the omega is just as good, i'd rather a juicer with lower rpm than the champion.

I have a Champion juicer that I have had for maybe 25 years so I can't answer about the Omega 8003.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,802,729i have the champion 8005. i love it. asssembly takes 20-30 seconds. cleaning an disassembling takes 1 minute.
the only bad part is the hole to put your product in is fairly small so you gotta chop stuff up good before putting it in.
other than that i love it, i get NO pulp at all, there is a metal strainer over the juice dispenser.
i get lots more juice from it then i did from previous juicers, the pulp that comes out is much drier and you can tell it has little or no juice left in it.
i use apples, cucumbers, celery, carrots. about 2-3 times a day. with my superfood. so i'm probably drinking 10cups or more a day. i'd like to do more....but the Celery alone for that is $10 a day.

This is a reply to # 1,802,729Get the Omega. I've owned many juicers, and the Omega is the best one of all, by far. It's waaaaay better than a Champion or anything else in that price range and will juice anything really well. (I mean, it does great at anything I've thrown at it : carrots, apples, greens, beets, celery, etc.)
I have the 8004 with a 15 year warranty, the best in the business. The 8003, 8004, 8005, and 8006 are all basically the same. Some are chrome, some are white. Mine has a harder auger. - Re: omega 8003 questions MrCuddly

I agree with everyone about how great the Omega 8003 is. I have one myself and love it. It's particularly good with veggies, grasses and leafy greens.
It's one weakness, though, is soft juicy fruits, veggies. It's a bit of work with cucumbers for example. Apples work fine as long as their crisp and not soft. I'm guessing lemons would be a problem.
Since it's such a great long lasting juicer at a great price, I'd get it along with a simple manual citrus press. It's not like you'll be juicing 30 lemons at a time. If you were seriously into juicing oranges I'd probaby recommend the Omega VERT instead - though it's quite a bit more money.- Re: omega 8003 questions josephr525

I think Omega 8xxx juicers would do good on soft fruit like lemons, oranges, tomatoes, etc., if they were alternated with celery, carrot, to help it run through, which is what I always do.

This is a reply to # 1,802,729well it's good to hear everyone loves their juicer! thanks for posting, it's so much easier making a decision with feedback from people who use it.
it sounds like if i wanted just fruit juice, the omega might not do quantity of it, or handle it well. if i was doing a mixed juice (fruit/veg) it'd be fine.
it's just to figure out how i'm planning to use it then, knowing this. i'll let everyone know how the fast/ kidney cleanse goes when i get to it, in a couple weeks hopefully....somehow feel my kidneys need attention...

We've got an 8005 (same machine, chrome instead of white).
The ONLY fruit we've ever had a problem with is pineapple. Ours won't juice 1/4 of pineapple before clogging up (with or without the skin).
We've juiced 20-25 pounds of oranges and easily 10-15 pounds of apples before needing to 'break it down' and rinse off the screen...and doing that takes less than 60 seconds. Grapes, kiwi, melon, pears, peaches, nectarines, berries, etc...no problem (or no more so than any other juicer that I've read & reviewed, except the Norwalk, of course).

This is a reply to # 1,803,225oh wow...that's great. i wanted something else for carrot juice as well as my green power is just too slow. it's so good with leafy greens though, i still love it. (i'm right back into juicing again, totally makes a difference to how i feel).
anyway, i'm glad it can do quantity of fruit, that's what i want for shulze's kidney flush...and maybe lemon/apple juice mornings anyway...
