This is a reply to # 1,799,367To my knowledge, turmeric, by far, is the most effective herb in controlling H. Pylori. Do some research if you chose to use his herb, more is not better.

Thank you. I know when i was taking tumeric at one point it was very strong & I had to discontinue after a couple weeks, now i just add it to foods. I would get a 1/2 teaspoon and add some black pepper to it at night before bed. How did you use it?- Re: H. Pylori Zapp

This is a reply to # 1,799,521I make a tincture from turmeric. Most of the benefical compounds in turmeric are not water soluable, so for me, alcohol tincture is the way to go.
However, a tinture is even stronger than powdered turmeric. I use about 1/2 teaspoon in a 10 ounce glass of water. I have found turmeric to be extremely useful for many stomach maladies. Turmeric is a much potent relative of it's cousin, ginger.- Re: H. Pylori luciapp

I make a tincture from turmeric. Most of the benefical compounds in turmeric are not water soluable, so for me, alcohol tincture is the way to go.
On the other hand, usually when a compound in an herb is not well absorbed, such as curcuminoids there is usually a good reason behind it. Just like how saponins are found in a lot of plants, and they have various medicinal properties. But they are never absorbed in to the bloodstream. If they were they would hemolyze the red blood cells creating a lot of problems for the body.

Both species will work, but mastic gum is the most effective herb I have seen so far for H. pylori. You could always use both.
