Isnt ginger recognized as an antacid? Would turmeric be the same. These herbs are so confusing.
Yes, both ginger and turmeric are antacids.
I make a tincture from turmeric. Most of the benefical compounds in turmeric are not water soluable, so for me, alcohol tincture is the way to go.
On the other hand, usually when a compound in an herb is not well absorbed, such as curcuminoids there is usually a good reason behind it. Just like how saponins are found in a lot of plants, and they have various medicinal properties. But they are never absorbed in to the bloodstream. If they were they would hemolyze the red blood cells creating a lot of problems for the body.

Both species will work, but mastic gum is the most effective herb I have seen so far for H. pylori. You could always use both.
