4 Minute Energetic Self-Care Routine
Here are some really great energy corrections you can do on yourself. I generally run through the whole routine once or twice a day.
Energy Depletion
Feel Undercharged? Boost your batteries!
"The Three Thumps" - 1 minute
(The Three Thumps gives a quick jump-start to your energy-care routine, and energises Kidney Meridian, Thymus Gland and the lymph area related to Spleen Meridian.)
With clustered fingers of one or both hands (I use fists), thump firmly, 15 - 20 seconds each, in these 3 areas:
Collarbone Points - Thump on kidney meridian (K27) to stimulate meridian system
Thymus Area - Think of Tarzan and wake up your immune system
Spleen Lymphatic Area - Thump below & one
inch to side of breast. (approx 4
inches under the armpits) Get energy flowing!

"Belly Button Correction" - 1 minute
(The Belly-Button Correction is a sure and simple way to ensure that your batteries are in just right so that you're at your radiant best and shine in whatever you do. The BBC is the perfect way to correct a polarity problem, or just to reinforce correct body polarity. )
1. Press the fingers of one hand firmly on your navel and keep them there.
2. Rub under your nose with the index finger of the other hand for 6 to 8 seconds.
3. Rub under your lower lip for 6 to 8 seconds.
4. Extend fingers and thumb to massage both collarbone points for 6 to 8 seconds.
5. Massage your tailbone for 6 to 8 seconds.
6. Reverse hands and repeat the procedure (optional, but recommended!).
Meridian Energy Disturbance
Upset? Angry? Anxious? Fearful? Hurt or in Pain? Having Cravings?
"The Triad Treatment" - 30 seconds
(The centrepiece of the daily energy self-care routine is The Triad Treatment because it stimulates energy flow and balance throughout the meridian system, and in just seconds! )
1. Crown of Head - Tap gently with the flat of your hand on the mid-line at the top of your head, about 1 ½
inches forward from the actual crown. Tapping this point stimulates all Yang meridians, distributing energy downward to lower parts of your body.
2. Inner Wrist - Slap sharply 3 fingers above your inner wrist crease on each forearm to stimulate all Upper Yin channels. The polarity of yin energy is opposite to yang. Yin meridians tend to distribute energy upwards. The Inner Wrist points send yin energy to the upper part of your body.
3. Inner Ankle - Slap sharply 4 fingers above the point of your ankle on the inside of each leg. From this point, you stimulate all Lower Yin meridians. Your Inner Ankle points send yin energy upward, thus serving all lower areas of your body. This finishes balancing yang and yin polarities.
Energy Crossover Problem
Balance off? Thinking Fuzzy? Uncoordinated on rising?
The "Cross Crawl" - 30 seconds
The Cross Crawl, promoting and integrating cross-body energy flow, is especially helpful if you've been inactive for a while, whether at rest, at work or due to illness.
The Cross Crawl is the answer to homolateral energy flow. Imagine an exaggerated march step, done on the spot with exaggerated arm swing and vigorous step. You can touch hand or elbow to knee to emphasise the rhythmic crossover. Left arm to right knee and vice versa.
Energy Overcharge
Hyper? Over-excited? Batteries over-charged?
"Cook's Hook-Up" - I minute
It's wonderful to feel high on life, but if you're so super-charged that you feel disorganised, scattered or out of control, you'll probbly function better if you "get it together." Cook's Hook-Up is deeply calming and centering.
1. Cross left ankle over right.
2. Extend both arms in front of you, hands back to back.
3. Cross right hand over left at wrist and clasp fingers together, interlocked.
4. Tuck clasped hands under and up, and rest them comfortably on your chest.
5. Inhale slowly by nose, tongue up in mouth. Exhale by mouth, tongue down.
6. Hold this pose, gently, and continue slow, deep breathing for 1 to 2 minutes (or as long as you have!)
(This can be done sitting in a chair or lying down)
