Well we have quite a bit in common including same starting weight. I hit 217 at end of 40 day as said it was 31 water,, 3 juice,2 water and 4 juice.
I gained back to 227 on refeed and now am 221 and started on fast feb 10.
So keeping it off pretty good. Key as said is excerise and changing your eating. If you don't do these things pretty sure it will come back.
I think you are drinking too much water big mistake and not sure if adding
Sea Salt once week is enough or do you add it daily?
As said that much water will wash out all sodium and potassium from your system and not sure what else. But low potassium can kill from heart attack. If you start getting cramping in legs and stuff for sure take some potassium pills or go to juice fast for awhile.
That dizzyness and fainting went away as upped my salt with sodium clamato juice on purpose day 32 and drank some thru the last 9 days. And most store juice has some potassium and sodium in it.
As for distilled water drank it first few days then just filtered tap water after that. Sometimes had some diet pop, sometimes crystal lite. Water gets very boring.
You should try drinking when thirsty think its better idea but now you are likely so low on sodium should try adding more to your water daily and see how you feel in terms of dizzyness and fainting feelings.Or go to juice fast for week and then back to water or alternate days whatever works.
I was very afraid of passing out while walking around.
Maybe hitting head on cement..game over type of thing.
Likely you are best to do this fasting especially on water for 30 days at time and repeat like three 30 day fasts maybe month in between.
If you fast and then gain the weight back you are not making permanent changes in exercise and your diet.
Intermittent fasting after the fast like EAT STOP EAT, FAST-5 or warrior diet can help you keep off the weight and maybe lose bit more with the longer fasts really helping to get the weight off.
You have to expect those 5 ,10 maybe even 15 pound regains from water weight its not fat its water weight. and unless you have no salt ,no carbs its going to come back. This can be very discouraging. As say to people to lose like 20
pounds fat you have to lose like 30
pounds or so total.
Your high weight loss in 17 days sounds like it has to be a lot of water weight. At 260 your basic metabolic rate is maybe 2500 a day to maybe 3000 if you do lots of exercise which is hard to do on water especially as you are taking in no protein so really can't develop any muscles on water fast. You won't lose that much though maybe pound month and then it will actualy slow down. Some people think all you do is lose muscle but they are wrong. If you have fat your burn it first muscle is spared. If you have no fat you will burn up muscle. Body has to burn something.
You could do much longer fasts on juice, 30 /60/90 with way more energy and likely no dizzyness/fainting risk.
But of course weight loss is slower.
I feel really great weighing 221 now instead of 260. It is a huge difference and that 221 reflects refed weight.
I eat a fair amount of sodium and carbs.
You could also try to do a raw diet for awhile they can really help keep the weight off and to lose it.
I decided not to do one for now ,if can lose 10
pounds a month by exercise and intermittent fasting like EAT STOp EAT then will may only have to do couple more shorter fasts to get to my goal weight. 180 for sure but maybe 160.
I carry fair amount of muscle.
You may want to read thru my 40 day fast posts they are not that long ago and the refeed.
Best wishes on your fasting. You may want to pick up blood pressure monitor, think I will for next fast. I am willing to be your blood pressure is critically low and bet mine was when switched over to juice. And as said likely would start adding some salt daily and knock off the gallon of water. You don't need near as much water on water fast. You are not eating and eating uses up a lot of water. This whole drink 8 to 10 glasses day is pretty much going the way of the dinosaur as more evidence shows its waste of time for health reasons or any reasons. Unless person is working in really hot climate type of thing 4 glasses or so a day is plenty.
And drinking all that water simply makes you go to washroom 50 times a day. Very annoying.
