There are also other reports of their resourcefulness and other's generosities... and as their homes were destroyed, so were many businesses... any usable items likely salvaged from the rubble, which is not looting per se at that point.
In addition, I suspect that there are business owners who are freely giving what they may still have to the cause.
Realizing that your whole community, region, country is in the same boat, fighting for survival against the the same *threat* is quite a uniting force.
In the face of disasters... you can either choose to go it alone, every man for themselves, taking your chances, or team up as a community, pool (SHARE) your available resources, and increase your odds of survival against whatever may come.
