My liver function has always been normal, but about a little over a year ago my enzymes were elevated. They told me not to worry, they were just slightly higher, and they had no explanation for it (I don't have hepatitis). I was taking quite a bit of cod liver oil back then and I wondered if I overdosed on vitamin A. But that was just my guess, because I always ate decent so I couldn't understand why my liver wasn't in a perfect shape. But now that I started flushing I am not suprised, maybe my liver is not in such a good shape after all. I noticed my dad and my sister have yellowish sclera too and we all have hereditary high cholesterol, I wonder if that's why it's yellow? Do you have high cholesterol??
I haven't checked my enzymes ever since, and I started flushing this Jan. I never thought much of my slighly yellow eyes (there are just some parts of it that have a yellowish tint), I am pretty sure they were yellowish even when my liver enzymes were normal. I just recently became more aware of my not so white sclera and really want to get it white.
I heard of this herb bright eye in combination with other herbs that are supposed to be good for the eyes and thought of getting it to see if that may help some, but then I figured that the jaundice must be strictly a liver thing and the best thing is to just keep flushing and take some liver herbs (taking dandelion and milk thisle). I am also on maintenance colonics.
Hope you had a good flush! Are you planning to flush regularly?
