Make some turf seating, as they used to do in medieval gardens, by banking up and sodding a 'bench' form. This could be all around the perimeter, or just in one corner.
If you plant some low-growing scented creeper like one of the many thymes, or some chamomile, you will have a sweet-scented
place to sit.
Build up a wall at seating height, with bricks or stone, back fill with soil, and add grass seed or carpet with sod.

This is a reply to # 1,781,176... here's a good idea for how to start your seeds for the balcony or patch-of-patio, or for pot-tenders, when you go away and your plants need watering.

I can picture doing this with some of the dreaded plastic storage containers that are available to buy, out there. I don't have a hoard of plastic containers around the house...
And wouldn't the principles be wonderful for making the same design out of teracotta, say? or some recycled something-or-other. I always wonder about the effects of plastics on growing plants....That (terracotta)I can really "dig". :-)
