pretzels and flour based food is acid forming in the body. Almost all fruits and veggies are alkaline forming in the body. Balance is the key. People should not be too acidic or too alkaline. People are on this stupid alkaline craze. I went on the alkaline craze by eating too many green veggies(wheat grass alfalfa etc...) and it made me constipated. The colon gets to alkaline its not a good environment for "acid"dophilus. Friendly bacteria produces acids to push the bowels out. Too many greens can nuetralize these acids causing constipation---been there done that.
There is a reason why mothers milk has a PH around 7. That is natures perfect balanced food. Not too acidic not too alkaline! Our diets should be close to that number.
