I don't quite know how to say this, but I agree with you heartily, and I'd suggest you ask your guardian angel for help...and then forget about it.
I am not kidding, at all. Your subconscious can't take a joke. It is obligated to serve you up what you have asked for.
Once in a while, breathe deeply. We usually use only the upper one fifth of our lungs, anyway. Oxygen = warmth. Exhale gently and completely, no strain, and then inhale with complete satisfaction. Then forget about it.
Someone suggested that we close our hands in a relaxed way, as a baby does in the womb...not completely closed...and rest our hands near the mouth, collarbone, neck areas.
And move the feet, ankles, toes while sitting.
