Since you're dealing with an "engine" that hasn't had adequate maintenance all it's life, and is so backed up that it's not assimilating & processing it's fuel adequately, you can be ASSURED that unclogging and decongesting your digestinve tract, colon & liver IS going to result in the stirring up and release of a LOT of stale, putrefying debris and that always causes gas. And you're going to be dealing with die-off (more gas and intestinal disturbance), and the sulphur in garlic always has the potential to cause gas (particularly smelly gas).
Backing off the cayenne? So far you haven't reported cayenne doing anything other than what it's supposed to be doing. "Too much" = urgent bowel movements, diarrhea and relatively strong cramping. Cayenne is always going to strengthen peristalsis, and in someone that's 'gut compromised', one typically experiences all kinds of "urpy burpy" until the compromise/congestion is cleared. If you 'back off' until you have no symptoms of healing, then you get no healing (or very little). A little cayenne is always better than no cayenne. It's always your choice - go faster & more aggressive and 'get it over with sooner', or go slower and it takes much longer to yield results.
Since you've just to your parcel and will be starting with the IF#1/IF#2, if you want to back off to less than 1/4 teaspoon 3x daily, then do that...but remember, the goal is a teaspoon 3x daily.
So YIPPIE YAY!!!! It sounds to me like the cayenee is WORKING!!!! As long as your cats aren't offended, lol, be thankful you're living alone and can let 'er rip. People that can (let 'er rip) are usually SO much more comfortable during the 'gas phases' of decogesting & healing because they haven't trained themselves for decades to "never toot". (Those are the people that typically have very uncomfortable bloating).
How much gas is normal? LOTS!

RE: Sparrows and their demise
Pallor humor below- please beware!
I was so very, very gassy. Miserable, unattractive - I could have jet propelled myself to and from my tincture area for much of the IP. I was an embarrassment to the female race, as far as I was concerned. It's a good thing the man loves me or I'll tell ya - this would have gone poorly. Know the fart phrases, 'sorry, I shot a bunny' or 'did you hear that spider bark'?? I think both are horrible and infer things that better comedy wouldn't have to. Ain't nothing about my little girl poots that make me wanna think about shooting innocent rabbits! Awful, simply deplorable. Lol - so, one night, oh the sweet man that he is, was belly laughing at me. I looked up, so pitiful and laughingly whimpered through the phrases, 'I don't shoot anything-and spiders don't bark...it's more like these pitiful little sparrows being squeezed and squawking or worse - someone shooting sparrows.' I understand that this sounds too 'out there' for some but 2 months of IP and you'd be rolling on the floor from this scene. And so was born - the sparrows. We called it 'the sparrow killings' and my loving coach would ask me what the aviary numbers were looking like. At some point the jokes got more hilarious when after a few liver flushes and amazing bile flow Eagles became involved. I exclaimed that there might have been some larger birds involved in the latest incidents. The worst, most hysterical image was one night during 'Battlestar Galactica' I embarrassed myself beyond all belief. My most generous, beautiful and loving husband being the only one present for the debacle. Armed with a castor oil pack, an over-sized bright blue, grey and lime green flannel over it and drawers, I looked like a fat country mechanic sitting on the bed. It'd been a pitiful day, I'd cried a lot and the IP had me in it's grips. As I offended even the dead in the cemetery 1/4 mile away, the man fell out. I was mortified. I felt I'd lost all my attractiveness and there was little else to live for. I leaped up (true story) and flew across the room. From the shoe cabinet I built to house my beautiful shoes (carrots before the horse, they are), I grabbed a pair of royal blue, peep-toe 50's wedges and put them on. Can you imagine? Well, ya better keep imagining, cause y'all ain't never seeing photos of this event. I put them on, quickly ran over to the center of the room and exclaimed (with my heating pad cord/lasso, dangling on the wood floor), 'I AM pretty!! I will be sexy again!!' ...and I think the man almost exploded into a million pieces. I called the coach and told her that story and a similar reaction was met. What did I learn?
Add more ginger to every stinking bit of juice you ingest.
Gas? yes. A lot? yes!
What can you do about (taken from here: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1724398) I've underlined/bold the main things you can use to help relieve gas.
Also, this next 5 days of gentle liver-cleansing and prepping (leading up to your first flush of many) may cause an increase in symptoms because there'll be even more stale bile and biliary sludge coming out...that's why Dr. Schulze added the Liver/Digestion/Detox Tea - it's very beneficial for all types of gastric 'urps & burps' that are caused by unsquishing and cleansing the liver & gallbladder. So that is very relieving for some people (and it's YUMMY!)
Options:
--Some people do get relief (surprisingly) by increasing the dosage of IF#2. Yes, the psyllium can give off gas, but the bentonite & charcoal help to 'sponge up' all the toxins and debris giving off the gas, so that's something you can experiment with. I always taking heaping tablespoon doses of the IF#2 rather than heaping teaspoons - I'm usually gassy the first 2 days and then it pretty much goes away.
--Coffee enemas do induce peristalsis and help move things through the intestinal tract quicker. So, if you're doing a back-to-back CE in the morning, you might want to consider doing 1/2 in the morning and the other 1/2 in the evening...or doing the back-to-back in the morning and then another partial CE in the evening. (this can sometimes quickly relieve gas, but because a CE induces more bile flow, if 'toxic stale bile' is what is causing the gas, then it might worsen temporarily. On the other hand, many times we have gas because of LACK of bile, and then a CE is very beneficial).
--Because of past complications, I think we were 'starting slowly', so you may not have yet added any extra activated charcoal to your IF#2 doses. But activated charcoal is a very well known remedy for gas & bloating - and that may just 'do the trick'. (but remember, it will adsorb HC so if using charcoal, be sure to space the doses as far away from the HC as possible)
--Castor oil pack and foot reflexogy...the MOST overlooked and underestimated therapies in our arsenal. Castor oil = Palma Christa/Christi (the palm of Christ). Put it wherever you want to be healed (in this case, likely on your torso beneath your rib cage).
--Herbal tea options...ginger, peppermint, spearmint, fennel seed and wild yam are all options (in whatever combination/strength you prefer),
I know the bloating is uncomfortable and frustrating, but it IS a symptom of you successfully undoing years/decades worth of compromise. It WILL go away all by itself when the cause is eliminated, I promise!
Blessings aplenty -

I do think I'll get better with this. I'm not a wimp that refuses to drink funky tasting herbs if they don't taste like cherry cola [which I haven't had in about 30 years].
I'm already seeing results and am not even on the full program yet. I'm amazed I'm doing so well without Magnesium for one thing. AMAZING. Wow! What a plan y'all have here! I don't take hardly anything any more, and just added fresh juice, bee pollen, molasses 3 a day, Roasted Dandelion tea, etc. The only supps I still take is HC and I have that down to 10 mg a day, and in 10 days I'm going to reduce it to 5 mg daily for two weeks, and then - OFF OF IT. Yeehaa! I will be on my way to healing fer sure. It's been 3.5 weeks since I took my last Teststerone shot, and, going by the way I feel, I don't think I need any more right now and I may never take any more of it, period.
I'm glad about this. This is success from your advice and program and I know there will be a lot more in the future. I'm willing to do what it takes to get well. I HATED to rely so much on MDs, tests, shots, supps, hearsay advice from anyone online, etc. One of these days, I'm going to throw away all the supps in that pic I posted. I'm quite sure I'll never want or need to buy them again, and I'd be glad to have more cupboard space to store good whole foods, herbs, spices, etc.
What I found kind of a drag was when I felt slight pain in my forearms which happens if I don't pick up enough protein, from my bowels moving too fast, or bad bacteria, or lack of HCl. It doesn't hurt, it just kind of scares me because I know it's my organs stealing proteins from my extremities in order to maintain themselves. I do realize that I may lose weight before I rebuild, and after I may be written off I may look like Charles Atlas and really freak them out.
We're traveling fast From a dream of the past
To the brave new world
Where nothing will last That comes from the past
It's a brave new world
Put a smile on your face As we walk with space
In the brave new world
Now as you begin You're born once again
With the rising sun
Something new, nothing old
Something true, something gold
No spirit of the past Can hold you back
From the brave new world
The direction to start Is inside your heart
To the brave new world
If you're free in your heart You can make a new start
It's a brave new world
There's nothing to hide Leave your troubles behind
It's a brave new world
I told you, my friend And I'll tell you again
Your trip has begun
Something new, nothing old
Something true, something gold
The direction to start Is inside your heart
To the brave new world
