I posted a topic earlier asking if Humco Lugol's Iodine would be good enough to use.

The strength of the stuff is 5% and the chemical grade is USP.

Today I called up the pharmacy that sells it and asked the guy if they sell the Iodine in smaller amounts, as the bottle they have on the shelf is too much. It's like three pints. The guy on the phone said yes, they can break it up into smaller amounts. I asked him how much would 2 ounces of the Iodine be. He said around twelve dollars.

This is almost 10 dollars cheaper than the JCrows iodine.

Why would it be cheaper? JCrows is also USP grade, isn't it?
