Whispering Wind
Hi Erin,
I had similar to what you described when I was on thyroid hormone, mine was not armor though, rather it was compounded at a pharmacy, dessicated thyroid nonetheless, so anyhow, I see you are on a fairly low dose, or a starting dose and sometimes they say it takes a while for the body to get acclimated, however with that said, I did not have the pressure in my eyes until about six months into the therapy and when I stopped the pressure lessened immensely, but I still get pressure on and off although I do think it's tied into thyroid stuff. I am currently dosing with Nascent
Iodine to see if I can get my thyroid regulated with it alone but if it proves to be not enough then I will go back on a very low dose. Also, I spoke with a friend yesterday who started NatureThroid in the last month and she said she feels wonderful...so I went on a hunt to figure out why NatureThroid is working for women, so far there is not particular reason other than it's not synthetic and more so it's probably individually we all do differently on different meds. I did horrible on Synthroid, Levoxyl and generic Levo even with the T3 combined...I did much much better on the Natural dessicated, but again, I still had varying side effects and the eye pressure was one of them.
My eyes did swell up after I went off the meds, got them under control with Iodine, however, as I said, I still am having symptoms of hypo and am just giving it a good six week run before I make any changes in what I am currently doing.
Good Luck to you and I hope this helps somewhat. Also, if y you have hashi with the thyroid antibdoy, you may want to consider going GF if you have not already. My antibodies shoot up way high when I eat gluten but simmer way down when I steer clear.
Good Luck! =)
