Gas mask for new years eve!

Just read in the newspaper that fireworks include strontium, aluminia and couple of other stuff. Since I plan on blowing up some stuff myself I thought it would be a good idea to buy a gas mask or build one myself. Can you recommend a good mask(cheap if possible) or tutorial.
